Looks like Donald is in further trouble with the revelation that the Russians have a dossier regarding his "salacious" behaviour during a visit to that country in 2013. Are the intelligence services there so p....ed off with him they want him impeached even before he takes office?

It amuses me at least.

He has chucked innuendo and lies around trying to impugn his political opponents on the "no smoke without fire" principle. Now he knows what it's like to be on the receiving end and of course most people think did he? Why not? Other unlikely revelations have proved to be true.

Whatever the truth is with regard to these allegations (very little, if any, in my opinion) the reaction of Trump, particularly as regards the US security services, is extraordinary.

I can't recall a situation where an American president has entered office on such bad terms with his security advisors, and his recent comments, both verbal and via Twitter, fall far short of what one might expect from a world leader.

I agree, watching him on TV yesterday was extraordinary to say the least. :o

I wonder, just how long his present farce will last before it implodes?

I can't see him completing a full term of office. Wait until his ground root supporters finally realise the actual cost of his madcap ideas. If he doesn't pop his clogs pretty soon I think we are all in for a bumpy ride as the American economy collapses. :(

He needs to get to the Gym and get fit, so he can dodge the bullets that may come his way.

Unity that's all I'm going to say about this. We have become far to arrogant and out of hand. We need restructure not just in the Americas but all over the world. I'm tired of seeing and hearing someone getting killed or something in that shape of matter. We got to change our way of thinking the old way never worked and it won't. We all need to love up on each other as the Higher Power intended us to do #Unity #WorldPeace #Equality #CivilRights

Well he's now President of the USA and one of his first announcements is that he believes in torture and our PM is off to visit him. There would be a huge outcry if she went to see any other President who advocated torture. Is trade so important that his horrible views can be ignored or is the excuse that she is going to speak forthrightly to him and tell him he is wrong.

I've never had any interest in listening to political speeches of any sort, but I find myself listening intently to this guy's to do list and what he's done in the couple of days in office. I think that America, and especially the world, is in for some very interesting times. I could even say fun. Can't wait for the next episode.

Well we already deal with some pretty vile regimes as it is, Saudi Arabia springs to mind as does a lot of the Arab world, Egypt itself is not free of this accusation. The majority of African rulers are not far behind and I doubt that any of them are not guilty of doing it themselves. Remember the context of his remark was in respect to ISIS and their ilk and paraphrasing he said something like “Why should we stand by and watch our people being beheaded on television and why should we treat them as human beings when they are capable of doing that and if subjecting some of them to torture techniques gets the information to eradicate them, then that was OK by him”

As to dealing with him, well again, trade is important and it is not easy to be moralistic about all your trade otherwise it would cease altogether and I would much prefer to deal with a man who says he supports torture but has not actually done so, than with countries that do use torture but deny it. I have to say that unlike other politicians who make promises that are never kept, he seems determined to keep his and has got down to doing so in the first few days, so as others have said, it will be interesting to see where we go from here. :tk

Thanks Carrie alot of terrible stuff has happened to me over the previous years. I was diagnosed with something that is potentially life threatening. Let's say somone took my life away from me and now I have to struggle to maintain it. I hate the ******* who did this to me.
