From the same article :

"If the Russians do not come back, there will be paralysis, as Russians and Britons are the backbone of Sharm el-Sheikh," the tourism federation's Mohsen told AFP.

Well...despite umpteen inspection visits, no sign of them Ruskies.

Hope springs eternal in the Egyptian breast.

I detect some indications that 2017 will be better than 2016....but then it could hardly be worse (barring another security disaster)

And somebody from the Egyptian side better get in touch and squash these rumours of Brits having to pay $120pp to get in...otherwise they'll be cancelling in droves

A few of the paragraphs have encouraging news and statistics.. :br

We were even considering coming back to Luxor a few weeks ago, but then SWMBO decided Morocco was an easier option, plus it was always on my bucket list, so we went there instead.
Nice to be on African SOIL again..... :br

I can't be bothered to read it at the moment. It seems that left hand don't know what right hand is doing, or at least trying to do, at the moment. (Ermm actually, did they ever?)

Too many cooks, all wanting a share of the limelight me thinks, and all day dreaming.
