What would you expect to happen if two Egyptians decided to emigrate to the UK to buy an existing hotel, one already suffering from lack of trade? Watching this episode of The Hotel Inspector, I couldn't help but notice the similarities between an Egyptian run restaurant here in Luxor, both in what they see as OK and a typical attitude towards expert advice.
You Tube, Alex Polizzi, The hotel Inspector, Paramount Hotel, Nottingham UK.
I would of liked to have included the actual video of this episode, but just can't manage it. Perhaps newcastle or Horus would be kind enough to do so to save any that are interested, spending time looking for it.
When the side list of other episodes is shown on the right, about three other programs down, there is a re-visit episode, but the actual interesting section is 33 minutes in, the first part being a re-cap.

They were not ''forced'' to close the restaurant, or ''forced'' to do anything against their own wishes. It was just sound advice to listen to against that of going bankrupt. Just can't help so folk.

Alas I can't see the video clips. '...blocked in your country due to copyright issues...'
I vaguely remember it though.
The Hotel Inspector is one of those programmes I both love and hate watching. Thankfully the latest series is less Alex Polizi's ego and more about the latest place that needs her expertise. I find it incredible that so many of these establishments can invite her in to help sort them out and then kick against everything she says. Love her or hate her, Alex Polizi knows the hospitality business and has plenty of useful and professional contacts to help ailing and failing business get back in the running.

That's a weird one
I suppose the Youtube ripoffs were blocked in UK...but they didn't think anyone would want to watch them in Egypt! Usually, with copyright issues, they insist on Youtube taking them down completely.
Probably explains why "The Return" isn't available.
Makes a change....most of the news sites I used to read are now blocked in Egypt

One thing I did notice as having no downloads to watch at the mo, so watched all that interested me, like the home renovation programs and country house rescue, the viewing was spoiled at times with Egyptian adverts covering the screen for about twenty seconds every eight minutes. On my page the revisit is still there, but your not missing much. He now rents out the restaurant in the evenings, now called the Gurkha, and is converting the cellars into ''sleep pods'' to cram more builders in.
