A close call for my holiday.

Post by Dusak »

Last Thursday my friend and I went out for an evening meal, she was leaving for a month, I following some days later. She said nothing at the time, but left her vegetables as they didn't taste right. Friday evening I started with stomach cramps that was the beginning of seven days of a bout of food poisoning. My food tasted OK, I even bought 200Le worth to put in my freezer, now binned. I think that now, due to the decline in diners, food is being refrigerated far longer than it should be once it has been pre-prepared. Although I will not name the restaurant in question as there is always an element of doubt as to whether it was their food or not, even though I have gone through what I had eaten three days prior with little to no chance of it being my food. Needless to say we both will not be returning to this place.

All in all it was a pretty **** week, one way or another lol. The internet once again went off, this time for four days, TE Data saying we are receiving a good strong signal. The guy from Telecom Egypt came out, inspected the line, he stating all looked good. That was it, carry on without. Came back on late yesterday, but this has been happening for several weeks now. I have told them twice what I think the problem is, but they take no notice. The line was covered in a very strong cement render when they worked on the new garage across from us. It would take only a little time before the line was damaged with the burning action of cement. Plus they have fixed a very large sign over the line run, so could quite easily have damaged it that way.

Three weeks ago I got my mate TV Mohamed in to re-tune all the TV's. Last week they once again started to change the signal frequency of all the English language channels so literally no TV, especially without the internet as YT keeps me sane.

Day four into my food poisoning I was really hungry having placed myself on a near starvation diet. I decided to have some cheesy mashed potatoes, my theory being it would not exit faster than it was swallowed. I had 1.5 Kilo of spuds, peeled every one, and every one was black rotten inside.

My friend had left me the electric money, but failed to tell me that she had placed it inside a Chinese puzzle box her grandmother had left her. Two of us spent half an hour trying to get it open. I finally succeeded and retrieved the cash. Fortunately I had some strong wood glue in my shed. If your reading this -------, don't worry, you can't tell it was glued back together. PS. In its dismantled state, you could see what had to be done to open it. Press down on the lid and slide it to the left which allowed the lid to spring open.
