MT do you read your posts before submitting them? Some of them are very difficult to understand. Not having a go just wondering.

Thank you Carrie, hopefully MT will take your constructive advice as I suspect he often types as he is thinking and as such some posts appear garbled to other readers. I am sure he himself knows what he wants to say, but often it comes across unclear, no one on this type of forum should be openly criticised for bad spelling or poor English, their contribution is what counts, but it does make good sense to read back what we have previously typed to see if it makes sense to others before posting.

Yes you may be right, I will in the future read them and also take off predictive txt if that may be causing the problem or not. Thanks Carrie and Horus for pointing out. It's very confusing I suppose but not has confusing as reading TARDIS posts where I sometimes have to go on to Gobbledy Guuk Translator.

I never use predictive text, when I did try it always predicted things I didn't want. So off it went. I am sure MT that you will get more favorable responses to your posts if they are a little clearer. Thank you in anticipation.

Predictive text can be dangerous, take this example:
A man picks up his phone and reads a text.
"Dear John, this is Alan next door. I am sorry buddy, but I have a confession to make to you. I've been riddled with guilt these past few months and have been trying to pluck up the courage to tell you to your face, but I am at least now telling you in text as I can’t live with myself a moment longer without you knowing. The truth is, I have been sharing your wife, day and night when you're not around. In fact, probably more than you. I haven’t been getting it at home recently, but that's no excuse I know. The temptation was just too much. I can no longer live with the guilt and I hope you will accept my sincerest apologies and forgive me. I promise that it won't happen again. Please come up with a fee for usage, and I'll pay you.
Regards, Alan."

The guy is enraged and picks up his gun then shoots his neighbour! he then notices a second unread text from his neighbour and it read:

"Hi John,
This is Alan next door again. Sorry about the slight typo on my last text. I expect you worked it out anyway, but as I’m sure you noticed that my smart phone’s Autocorrect feature changed “Wi-Fi” to ˜Wife”. Technology hey?? Hope you saw the funny side of that.

Predictive text - on or off - is not the issue when it comes to paragraphs.

Breaking up blocks of text makes it easier for a writer to proof read their own work. It also makes the written work more enticing to a reader to start and continue reading the piece. When paragraphs, and basic punctuation are used, it is normally the content of the written piece that is remembered, as opposed to the format.

Predictive text - on or off - is not the issue when it comes to paragraphs.

I suffer from a form of dyslexia known as 'word blindness'. From what I understand it a few words for instance when you want to write,.......he did not,........I fail often to write the word NOT, though in my minds eye it is there, I do therefore often have to read my written work very carefully,..........strange but true,........though I'm sure some of you will put it down to my drinking habits. .
