Does anyone know of anyone in Luxor that sells 'true saffron threads ?
Most of the rubbish they have tried to palm me off with, is dyed tree bark.

So, has anyone discovered real saffron in or around Luxor ?

If you can wait awhile I'm sure Carrie would get some for you when she comes to stay with me in Datca, in September. You can buy genuine Iranian saffron in the spice shops here, but it's not cheap. Turkish saffron is available but it's very poor quality and I don't buy it. I'll check the price for you when I'm next in town.
