Help to support the work of ACE in Luxor

Perhaps if ACE wants to attract the attention of users of Luxor4U (I know many folk do already support ACE), they could be a but more pro-active in keeping members aware of the work they do, projects the initiate etc.
If I were reading the OP without any prior background knowledge, I'd be non the wiser as to what the funds are really for.

I agree Hepzi, normally I would not allow a first post that was just comprised of an advert for an event, but as most of us do know the work that ACE does for animal welfare I let it pass, although as you say a bit more background information would be more helpfull for those who may know little about their work.

That may well be so, but this isn't Facebook.

Don't get me wrong, I aporeciate ACE needs the support. It just seems a shame, and a wasted opportunityh for them, that information about them wasn't given.

I agree with Hepzi, no one is saying they should not be supported, but rather they could get more support if they made people more aware 'on here' the sort of things they do. If they think they only need to inform people on Facebook, then by logic why would they bother to post on here? Keefy is very generous in allowing this sort of advertising on his website and it was on that basis that I just let it through, but in fairness he is entitled to some sort of interaction for his regular readers in return. It is also a great opportunity to get their organisation and their aims in front of more people.

I know a few business people in Luxor who don't read L4U, don't know why ?....

Ive missed a couple of their ACE Quiz Nights in the past which I would have liked to have gone to but missed them because they were only advertised on Facebook, not on here. Several friends missed them for the same reason.

Who2 what has that got to do with anything? we are talking about those that do read the forums and not a 'few business men' in Luxor who don't.

All the more reason to use what free opportunities there are to share information and promote the work of ACE.

Well that's dead easy 'Why don't you write to her on FB and suggest she gets a talented minion to set an ace page on here.

Thanks for advertising the event on here Doctor. Obviously I am not there to support it, but would do if I were there. There are more than just business people that do not come on this site, and the majority know why! So I see no reason to delve further into the question.You may also ask why many read the forum but do not comment...The answer to us mere mortals is fairly obvious, and typifies many...

Well without the grockels Who2 they and ACE would get even less support.
How a simple attempt to help ACE by asking them to post more about what they do, their aims etc. so that more people may offer support can descend into this is beyond me. As for MT that well known animal lover trying to stick his oar in and trying to agitate the situation then he is also on a loser. This stupid bickering is doing ACE no favours at all so this thread is being locked.
