In restaurant restrictions...Covid

Here in Kent we are at level 1, Medium risk, on Boris's three tier regional covid restrictions policy. We quite regularly visit local restaurants for lunch and the procedure right now is to sanitise hands and wear a face covering on arrival. Face coverings are removed when seated at your reserved table. If leaving the table to visit the toilet or when leaving the restaurant, face coverings must be worn.
Knowing how strictly H & S rules are applied in Egypt........not! I am asking what sort of Government directives, if any, have been issued and if there are restaurant procedures, similar to ours, in operation?

Oh dear. There are a number of rules and regs none of which I have actually seen in action. A number of places now serve cold drinks in plastic cups with a straw. I have yet to see any serving staff wearing masks or gloves but then again why should they we all know there is no Corona Virus in Luxor ask any of the locals.

Its always been advisable to wear a face mask when " paying a visit" to an Egyptian toilet. 🤣
