He read somewhere on some egyptian site that, you need insurance cover incase you catch corona virus in
Luxor. Told him it sounded like total bo**ocks to me.

So he's due here to pick up my egyptian mobile at 8 probably be closer to 11 or 12.
If it can go wrong, trust me it will, last time he was in Luxor General he was bitten by a couple of street dogs.

Ace managed to save the dogs...bless..

Whatever blurb the authorities have issued I can assure you that there in no enquiry made as to your insurance cover ( if any) on arrival at Hurghada. The U.K. gov site is often behind with its information

You do indeed have to sign a Declaration Form ( given out on plane) . This doesn’t mention insurance .

Having said that, it’s always a good idea to carry health insurance when visiting Egypt....particularly if you intend staying at the Sand Beach hotel, Hurghada.

He missed our plane once saying, "I'm not getting on a plane without insurance, I've got kids & responsibilities.
One of those £5 quid insurance machines, 15 minutes run from the gate..
He then borrowed another bee-hive o££ me....

I said "Oi! they are now calling us personally by name..over the bars tannoy...ffs..
I got to the gate the not so happy lady said "Where is he ?
I said "forget him, she shut the gate, You should have seen the looks given to me by everybody.
Then, they escorted me down to the tarmac to identify his stuff, pretty hilarious really, hi viz jacket & all...
(My hold luggage also consisted of 5 pool cues in a very suspicious oblong case)
All viewed by the portside, by now irate passengers....
Then later, even the captain had a nice little word with me, cockpit side. tbc.

I informed all the nosy drinking tourists that..
"it was a security problem from the start, and that, I had personally had sorted it out for them...
They fell for it....
Later that night in the bar, I informed some of my Emilo travelling companions it was all 'bignoses fault.

He arrived the next day 24hrs later, when Hurgharda was just a few huts..
Responsibilities ? try asking the woman who bore my godchildren ? he even borrows money off them..

Just a thought tell Nick to get a taxi from Go Bus to the old hacienda, dont attempt to cross the Nile by boat. Access to the ferry and motor boats is horrendous especially if you have luggage.

Surely if Nick is travelling over on the Go Bus there is a bus stop on the West Bank next to the old benzene station. I saw the signs for it and people waiting for the bus.

They advertise it but it doesn't run! Buses from there go only to Cairo.
