Just watched....
A 1957 Weinstein ? (really ) production serial of Sir Lancelot 'The Maid of Somerset.
Cracking stuff, all about fighting 'good over evil' within the cheddar caves.
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0506524/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1

Why, have I never seen this ? I was 7 years old! 'perhaps we didn't 'av t'telly..
Why, even me old grannie over in tooting had a bakelite one wiv'e an 8 'inch screen an orsehair chairs..

Anyhow, I'm a bit of a film fan and this is the best line, I reckon ever delivered on't telly.

It's a cracker!!! " The weapons are hidden behind the cheeses"

Mind you, 'these cheddar cheeses where the size of half beer barrels.... 8)

This was actually filmed in Nettlefold Studios a small ex army site in walton on thames.
As was hundreds of other telly serials.
It's just over where all the rich people live, near shepperton studios..horses & big houses..

In was in 1899 that film pioneer Cecil Hepworth leased a house – The Rosary - for an annual rent of £36 in Hurst Grove, Walton on Thames.

There used to be one at the bottom of my street in Wimbledon called Merton Park Studios,
loads of second features were produced there, and for a time it was the base of Radio Luxembourg.
'not a lot of people know that!

The difference is we can produce huge things in small places we don't really need hollywood style studios
to produce excellent silver screen amusement.

"Multim in Parvo". ........... 8)
