There's a desperate shortage of oldies in Luxor now, many have seen their sell by date expire long ago. Many Egyptian mama's lay unattended on their mud floors, hoping against hope that their beloved sons will soon bring an abundance of financial aid to their home so she can, after many years of lying prone with only the ants for company, pick up her bed and walk again.

I'm with my young attractive Egyptian fiance. She's helping me to count all this lovely money.

Mohammed arrives in the UK..

Now all he has to do is sell her bungalow, apply for power of attorney, consider a Co Op funeral and
he's quids in.... 8)

There’s usually a requirement that the sponsor ( Iris in this case) can support the foreign spouse i.e. has an income of £18k+. Quite how they overcame this obstacle is unclear.

It certainly doesn’t seem as if Mohamed meets the normal criteria for skill-+related acceptance.

Hey ho....well it beats the leaky dinghy route....if you can stomach the other “ physical” requirements of this method of getting to Britain! ;)

Most folk I come into contact from the Middle East (Egypt included) complain on how cold it gets here to the point some want to return home. Today is the first day of temperatures falling below 10c. I hope Iris manages to keep him warm in their cosy little bungalow in Weston.

I'm not sure how their lives will pan out but I'm sure if Iris gets short of cash there is always Holly and Philip to fall back on.
