Donations are to be requested from the public to help pay for a new memorial in St. Paul's Cathedral, London to honour those who have died from Corona Virus.
Would you be prepared to contribute?
Me! No, if it were deemed necessary to erect a memorial I would rather it be in a local church, mosque or other place of worship. Rather like the small side chapels in many churches dedicated to the dead of the two world wars who lived within the local area.

The National Covid Memorial Wall is a much more poignant tribute....and a lot less expensive.

As my daughter has fled the coup taking with her the wi-fi, I am happily sitting outside Cafe Kick supping a rather nice new beer called Noam.
The local council are trying to enforce the single table only rule here in our market,
I'm on the case as it's the main hub of our area and it needs to be pedestrianised.

Anyhow, whilst stuck here in the UK with no intention to fly back, I watch TV.
The vast amount of 'charitable organisations pleading for our cash is huge.
Save Cats, Donkeys, blind people, whales, leopards, tigers, pangolines, plus all those longtime established charities.
It's time I started another charity as I'm on my 'uppers.

ITV3 are the worst. Every break features charities wanting cash in some form. Sometimes you get a cuddly donkey if you donate.

Hmmm, difficult one this, I think it would depend if those lost were mask wearers or none mask wearers, wouldn't like to commemorate some thoughtless barsteward that could of put one of the good guys under the sod because of their selfish and thoughtless actions, so I suppose the answer would be no.

When I give to any charity, I pay for some kind of work to be carried on for improvement in life for either humans or animals, not something to look at.
