Today's good news...
Daily Covid cases fall for second day in a row:
UK infections drop 25% in a week to only 36,657 and deaths fall 16% to only 38.

Great News so only 146,628 a month or 1,759,536 a year.
We must out of this pandemic.
Oh! sorry 'I forgot about the rest of this World..... 8)

If I was at Porton Down, I would be just as worried about the Brazil and Peru variant, but no doubt this will come into play towards the end of this year. The Dr above rightly points to the high infection rate in the U.K., and is certainly the highest in Central Europe, however we were the first to remove all the restrictions. Having said that, this leaves the people here open to what may occur by late December when flu symtoms are at the peak, add to that, a possible 'F' variant of Covid.
I posted this almost two months ago, but since then it seems the British authorities are being very careful what information is being released through the media, for what reasons I have no idea. There are a few things that I am hearing that are quite serious.

One thing I have noticed is that many of the hospitals in multi-cultural areas of the U.K., are issuing 'Code Black' through their switchboards to all departments on a daily basis. Consultants now speak to patients referred through G.P.'s for general non-Covid problems by telephone after checking blood tests etc taken at G.P. Surgeries.

Christmas and the New Year could become quite difficult in my oppinion.

We learnt yesterday that the world's stock markets fell dramatically as a result of the American drug company announcing that present vaccine has limited effect on the South African varient. Are we to believe that the top business people of the world had no idea of this months ago.

Also yesterday, it seems the British media are starting to get fed up with giving limited information on this pandemic. The B.B.C. yesterday leaked details of a major meeting of a video call of the U.K. top scientists,...........it makes interesting reading. It seems the media are getting fed up with what they can or can not say.

Yesterday evening I travelled through Euston and St Pancas stations to get to the south coast where I observed that less than 50% of people were warring a face masks.

Nope....I’m still happy with my prediction of no lockdown before Christmas. Admittedly, in saying so, I’m assuming none of the dire possibilities floated by SAGE are realised.

Boris is a populist. Having scorned Labour’s exhortations to even recommend working from home, if possible - or tightening border controls with pre-flight testing - I think it’s highly unlikely he would even propose a lockdown let alone get one past his backbench.

The thought of relying on Labour support to get any such proposal through would be anathema to him.

I’ll eat A-Four’s tinfoil hat if I’m wrong.

The NHS was put on a crisis footing tonight as hospitals in England were told to discharge as many patients as possible while estimated daily Omicron cases hit 200,000 and the variant claimed its first life in the UK.

@Who2

Now you’re talking. No way would Boris commit political suicide by locking down before Christmas, but there’s a good chance we’ll get one immediately after.

As for Russia invading Ukraine…..mmmmm….on balance, I don’t think so.

But I wouldn’t bet the farm on it.

Incidentally, I hear they’re doing booster jabs at the Fever Hospital in Tiba.

Apparently it’s free and you just turn up!

I received an e- mail several days ago, it just stated that if you hadn't had your jab they are starting to issue them " again" on the 18th of December. I ignored it as I'm fully jabbed, but now, with this information, and accepting the ineptitude of this country, it was more than likely informing me of this fact. I will get my friend to check it out. Thanks for mentioning it.

They reckon the true rate is nearer 500,000 per day.

Think “Woodstock”

Remember when I said "when it reaches 100,000.
Yesterday's covid UK figures: Daily cases 218,724.

So what happens when it reaches 500,000 ? and they still use the term "coming out of the pandemic. 'Really ?.... 8)
15990 x 15990 + the odd 37,000 thousand.

We had over 300,000 here in France in the last 24 hours. Different accounting system though which makes us look worse compared to the UK.

Despite all the vaccines, I now know more people with covid than ever before. All fully vaccinated and boosted, not yer tin foil hatted unvaxed conspiracy theorists.

Having said that, at least it's those lot who are the majority needing critical care.

Personally I think Google should open emergency ER centres for the unvaxed, where they can be treated by the armchair experts.

An Ex Ambulanceman speaks:
Paramedic just sounds far cooler, jumpsuits ect..

"Time we started to round up the unvaccinated incarcerate them and help them see some sense".

It worked on Alex above. And I'll bet them Chinese are already at it.

Either that or 'Educate, Isolate, Eradicate. "Who said that ?

That's my theory anyway.

Many of us would already be dead years ago if it wasn't for scientists.
I like scientists, 'can't say I've ever met one. '
There was this bosnian scientist refugee we helped once.
Not easy having a conversation with a scientist, way above my pay grade..

That GB News channel and Farage should start a campaign.
Novak Djokovic ? Serb, absolut f****** nutters the lot, always were. Start with him... 8)

That would fill up all the Nightingales…..and then some!

Not surprising that you encounter more victims nowadays….and that the majority are vaccinated. Vaccination inhibits infection but doesn’t prevent it……and with Omicron running riot….

The key statistic is that 90% plus of those seriously ill, or dead, are unvaccinated.

Ive had a persistent sniffle, sore throat and sneezing for England…for a couple of weeks now. Probably a cold….but you get paranoid! Lft’s are negative .

Will they or won't they ? that is the question.
Novaks Kovic, it's an anagram.

Him and the rest in their isolation huts...on Brighton Beach 'guzunder..

I wonder just how many he owns as they sell for half million dollars each, down there.
Plus, I found out if he gets kicked out, then he cannot return for 3 years it's the law. guzunder!

Amazing thing when you realise Australia was founded on thieves from this 'scepter'd isle.
And our very own 'tricky gentry....
40,000 Irish teves....only 8,000 scots' pawky chancers, and over 160,000 in all..

I used to live in Wimbledon great place....I like tennis John McEnroe used to crack me right-up..
My dad had a few beach huts once...weird... 8)

Ps: The Ex-cel center down on the Thames is probably lying empty at present.
Bet they love to rent it out as a Nightingale Covid Center for as long as it lasts.
I attended there with my mate Mo Ezz on a world tourism thing, really good fun,
No smoking, and all the eastern countries were outside, smoking drinking and doing business.

Pss: I took Ezz down there on a Thames cruiser, blew him away from start to finish.
'He convinced luxor gov for all those WB landing stages using my pictures..'not a lot of people know that!
