An old mans'pub.

Post by Who2 »

The Shakespeare's Head.
A flat roofed pub just behind Sadlers Wells Theatre. (Flat roofed pubs are always know as 'dodgy)
It's a proper Sunday boozer full of old Londonders and covered in photos of old actors,
flocked wallpaper and atmosphere.
The landlord, George knows his clientele well.

Reading the Observer today, and up popped my mate Salima,.... 8)

Ps: I thought the first episode of Up or Down the Nile last night with Ran Fiennes, pretty un-inspirational.
Lets hopes it improves....

Interesting, if confusing, article.

On the one hand it states, categorically....
It has been dated to the Old Kingdom, proving that mummification techniques some 4,000 years ago were highly advanced.
but then goes on to say.....
“If this is indeed an Old Kingdom mummy, all books about mummification and the history of the Old Kingdom will need to be revised.”
You’d think they’d get the dating of this mummy agreed before upturning and revising the history.

Not a patch on Michael Palin’s epic “Across the Andes by Frog”

A Ripping Yarns classic.
