Travel Insurance -2022
Anyone recommend a single trip travel insurance for Luxor, I'm getting really expensive quotes such as the Post Office at around £300. A far cry from £75.00 3 years ago.

There’s nothing special about Luxor as a destination. All depends on your age, existing medical conditions and, of course, duration and what level of cover you require…and for what.
Could be anything from £20 upwards.
I know a lot of people use Staysure for Egypt…partly because it includes covid disruption cover.

Re: Travel Insurance -2022
Travel insurance, as with any insurance, is one of those things you have to shop around for. There is no 'on size fits all' quote, so no matter what someone else recommends you need to go through the whole exercise for yourself, whether you actually do it your self or go through a broker.
Do make sure you don't paper over any of the answers, because if you do need to make a claim for any reason, and it comes to light that you didn't answer fully e.g a medical question even if it's not directly related to why you are making the claim, they could be even more resistant in paying out.

it is what you do with what happens to you.

In November I paid £206 for an annual multi trip insurance policy with Staysure (increaeed to 18months as an incentive) which gives me upto 35 days away on each trip. I am 76years. I hope this helps

I've been rather crafty and bought my annual insurance through the bank's scheme. I've told them about my 2 medical conditions but will not claim for them if away. As I'm over 70 I have to pay the extra premium for that. Total £75.
