I think I first became interested in tennis whilst I was a diver living on the MV Spectrum up in Scrabster.

We watched the Borg vs McEnroe final back in 1980 in, The Mission for Deep Sea Fishermen in the harbour,
We fixed their TV aerial reception bought some jugs of beer from the hotel and something to smoke
from the 'bothy boys.

I still love watching Wimbledon.... 8)

it's been a few years since I have been able to watch Wimbledon on telly.
The BBC really have it covered these days, 20 cameras covering center court alone.

15,000 spectators @ 70 quid a pop over a million quid not counting the strawberries just from center court.
Not bad for just day two.
Our second home was just down from The Wimbledon Theatre in Russell Road.

My ex-wife and her Mum still do center court have done for years, up from Royal Tunbridge Wells... 8)

Ps: People are nice in Wimbledon, respectful, good restaurants, we had the wombles...'nuff said.
Pss: Thank god for small mercies, Wimbledon FC got shifted out to Milton Keynes.

Anybody else spot what's missing from Center Court ?

Must be down to covid or that the players are mixing their own 'energy drinks.

Reminds me of A Clockwork Orange: in "The Korova milkbar sold milk-plus, milk plus vellocet or synthemesc or drencrom, which is what we were drinking. This would sharpen you up and make you ready.

The Chelsea Drug Store Kings Road:
