Yesterday I flew to Luxor on the direct flight from Heathrow due to depart at 14.35
At Heathrow the Notice Board said go to gate. At the gate the Board said take a seat.
There were only about 50 seats at the gate resulting in over 100 passengers standing (some of whom were quite elderly)
We had to stand for over 40 minutes as the flight was delayed – of course there were no announcements about the delay and the Board did not indicate any delay – just take an invisible seat!
On the aircraft there were no apologies for the delay.
As is usual a dreadful service from Egyptair (althoughto be fair I had a good onboard service from the crew)
I had the same back in the summer. MS778 was over an hour late arriving but left 90 minutes late. However there weren't enough seats for the 300+ passengers. The crew did apologise but the service wasn't up to much with very little passenger contact.
It's nice to see the direct flight to Luxor back flying again. Not sure of the fares but will check when the time comes.
