Of course, the worsening of the Royal Mail postal service may well have been planned, especially under Tony Bliar's stewardship. Was it not he who wanted everyone to be 'online'? With the reduced mail deliveries now being referred to as 'Snail Mail' then everyone has to go online to receive messages within an acceptable time frame!
Job done for the ever loveable Tony, eh?

I see first class stamps are rising to £1.10, no guarantee of next day delivery. Second class up to 75p.

Just a note on this subject, I know many people will have a few books of postage stamps, we will no longer be able to use, but you can get a stamped envelope from any post office to return 'old' stamps and in return will send you the new bar-code replacements for free,......but do this soon.

Our PO system is lovely, I often order from Amazon de now moreso since BREXIT. A parcel takes 5 days to get from Germany to Larnaka in Cyprus, from Larnaka to Paphos 4 days (80miles) then from Paphos to Polis 2 days, (35 miles) The PO send you a form to say you have post, takes 2 days, then we have to drive a 40km round trip to pick the parcel up. I used to get frustrated with the post in Luxor but at least it was much quicker.

Amazon eg is great! We've been buying heavy stuff, like 6 cartons of milk, from them, but also other stuff as well. Prices are similar to the supermarkets here, some up a bit and others down a bit. Delivery is usually a couple of days. We needed two outdoor chairs, they are quite comfy, and less than £8 and that was delivered!

You know when your old because you remember Mikki and Griff being number 1 in the music charts for ages.

Live for the moment is my motto, no regrets about my wild and reckless past, I have lived and more importanty learned...

Right now in my older age, I am seeing many people shuffling off thier mortal coil, and they all gave up smoking and drinking etc.

All we have is today, this moment in time.. enjoy it X
