Gatwick is set to gain two new services to Egypt and the Czech Republic this autumn.
Wizz Air has launched the new routes to Prague and Hurghada – which will commence on 31 October – due to increased demand.
Passengers will be able to travel on three weekly flights from Gatwick to Hurghada from £48.99pp, while six flights a week will take off from the London hub to Prague with fares starting at £21.99pp.
Marion Geoffroy, managing director of Wizz Air UK, said: "We are seeing increased demand for more flights to popular holiday destinations and we are delighted to be able to offer greater, more flexible access to these breathtaking cities.
"With these two additional routes from Gatwick, we are now providing more seats than ever for passengers to travel to and from London at an affordable price."

Re: Gatwick to gain new Egypt route this Autumn
I just cannot understand why they keep putting on extra flights from the South East! Do they really not take account of all those traveling (or wanting to!) from the North? And I certainly DO NOT mean Manchester! (That most Northerly of the Southern airports!) How about Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, Teesside, or even Edinburgh or Glasgow? I expect that landing fees etc are much more reasonable up here as well.
We aren't savages, covered in wode, but we do tend to have lower incomes than those in the Home Counties whilst being forced to fork out hundreds of extra pounds to fly down to the London airports, or suffer hours cramped in long distance coaches, or changing trains! (Rant temporarily over.)

Agreed Teddyboy. When you have to travel to London from the north it adds a fortune on to your trip if you travel by train. Megabus is so uncomfortable and always late from the cities. Car parking is astronomical. There was a post I put up a few weeks ago taken from a reliable site stating that Egyptair would start flying from Manchester, even giving out flight numbers but it came to nothing.

I've just had a quick look for Manchester to Cairo with Egyptair. I put in dates for next month, and flights were showing on their website. Out of curiosity, I also checked through Opodo and Edreams, and they were also showing the same flights to be bookable. The times don't look very good if going on to Luxor and back.
