Thinking on Ram Pumps...

Hobby & Pastime is thinking......
I once had a devon longhouse and came across a disused victorian ram pump down in the valley.
I was intending to build a lake. (another story)
Years ago I came across a large version down in kom ombo, little discussed.
For some reason I started ruminating about them today trying to explain to Sim their advantages.
I came across this clever interactive image...

Having read Chris Dunn's pyramid power years previous..
And having a troublesome well in my gaff back in najar abu ramadan and living between two canals,
Oh! and living in a rainless country, We had solar power 20 years ago in our ramla camp....
Ps: Sim said "keep thinking" lol
