Ooh, if they only would grow it for animal food you could find it here. No luck so far. Yes rutabaga is of Scandinavian origin. Turnip casserole was eaten before rutabaga came so I guess I have to use Egyptian turnip instead. It is just boring white colour, turnips (and rutabagas) we have in Finland is light yellow and gives nice colour.
I think for next year I have to try and grow my own rutabagas for Christmas!
