Perhaps these fish will also be in lake Nasser if they migrate downstream, where they will receive some protection given the sensitivity of the high dam..
We used to fish for Nile Perch in lake Victoria in the early 1970's they could grow quite massive, we used large centre pin multiplyer reels intended for deep sea fishing that we bought in the UK and took back with us.
