There appears to be some posts popping up on my Facebook page that are from Egyptian Government sources, in relation to the ongoing situation in Israel, Iran etc.
This one was posted 3 days ago, although I have only just seen it.
Please note the last paragraph of the statement.
I suggest anyone with concerns about travel to or from Egypt check out the advice on their own governments websites. I also notice that some countries are introducing again the 'I'm here' lists (can't remember what they are actually called so hope you understand.)

Minister of Civil Aviation Sameh el Hefny has directed that a state of maximum readiness be implemented at Cairo International Airport and all airports across Egypt in response to ongoing regional developments, including airspace closures in several neighboring countries.
The minister’s directives ensued from a continuous and thorough monitoring of flight operations in coordination with the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority’s operations room, the Cairo Air Navigation Center (CANC), the Crisis Management Room at Cairo International Airport, EgyptAir’s Integrated Operations Control Center (IOCC), and the Egyptian Airports Company’s operations center.
In anticipation of possible flight reroutes due to regional instability, the Ministry of Civil Aviation is ensuring that Egypt’s airports are fully prepared to handle diverted aircraft that may be required to land on Egyptian soil. This measure aimed at maintaining safety standards and operational efficiency while ensuring passenger comfort and providing necessary facilities to affected travelers.
The ministry emphasized that Egypt’s airspace is operating at full capacity, with all necessary readiness measures in place to accommodate any changes to flight routes. The ministry is fully committed to adhering to international safety and security standards for civil aviation.
The ministry also maintains close and ongoing coordination with the civil aviation authorities of affected countries to address developments according to standard procedures while ensuring the smooth and safe flow of air traffic within Egyptian airspace.
The ministry also urges travelers to check their bookings with airlines to confirm the status of their flights and any potential changes resulting from the ongoing regional tension, noting that official updates will be issued regularly to keep the public informed of any developments.

Re: March 2026 - Egyptian Advisorys
I saw an Egypt travel advisory from UK.gov a little while ago had dropped into my email box but couldn't read it at the time so don't know what it said. I think we've all witnessed the same or similar for Egypt over the years so can pretty much guess what it says.Teddyboy wrote: Tue Mar 03, 2026 11:02 pm We will find out tomorrow. Goodbye gloom and hello sunshine!
Hope your trip to Luxor goes well and that Memory Lane isn't an uncomfortable road to travel.

Finally relaxing in the WP Pavillon.
One night in the Marriott, then the VIP (& double beck) GoBus across the desert. The seats (in the 3 seats abreast model) are much better than aeroplane seats, and the new road makes it a much quicker journey, too.
I'll post any particularly interesting snippets that I may come across.

The amazing fact about Egyptair flights is that they are all departing more or less on time. Considering most of the ME and some Asian flights that are running use the Egyptian corridor I think the controllers are doing a fantastic job.
